I was born in Angola, where I lived all my childhood until my parents emigrated to Portugal. My youth was spent in Portugal, until I decided to move to France where I am now, almost 10 years ago.
The adventure of creating the Poupée Wax brand, appeared in 2012 with the birth of my first daughter. While decorating her room I realized that in the decoration market there was a huge lack of diversified supply of black skin dolls, thus creating a passion for sewing. I can show that the creation of the Poupée Wax brand, in addition to representing the love of sewing, also represents a family heritage. Among clothes and accessories, I have many memories of my childhood, when my mother created cloth dolls for me and my sisters, reusing leftover clothes or cloth.
Over time, my dolls occupied a prominent place among my creations where I started to use more professional techniques. In the year 2020 I decided that I was ready to embark on this adventure and that this passion until then lived as just a hobby could become in my profession, thus starting a new stage in our life …
Today Poupée wax are not only black dolls, they are dolls of all colors and that represent diversity and social inclusion.
